Telling about Experience

MY INTERESTING EXPERIENCE

AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

            Seven years ago I sat in second class of junior high school at SMPN 1 Jambon Ponorogo. I liked English lesson. My English teacher is Mr. Indarso. I had a good friends. His name is Agung Dwi Wahyudi. He also liked English lesson. We studied together and helped each other if there are some difficult about the lesson.

            On certain day, on Thursday we studied at Classroom in 2A room. At Classroom were 20 student. The Lesson is English. The teacher is Mr. Indarso. We studied about question tags. At the last time in the English Lesson Mr. Indarso gave us information about a competition of “ Story Telling “ at the regency. The place for competition is SMPN 1 Ponorogo. Then Mr. Indarso said that he sent two name ; Siti Inayah and Agung Dwi Wahyudi. I shocked to heard that. Because Mr. Indarso not yet tell to me about it. Agung also Shocked. I said to Mr. Indarso “ I’m sorry sir, I can’t do it because sudden too for me. I’m not yet make a Story Telling in English”. Mr. Indarso Answered “ Oh, don’t worry Inayah. I will help you and Agung For make a Story Telling, then we have to study and exercise. We have three days for study and exercise about it, Can you do it?” I answered “ Yes Sir, I will Try it”.

            On Friday, at 7 a.m I arrived at my school. Mr. Indarso and Agung waited me in teacher room. Mr. Indarso helped we make a story telling. I made a story telling abot

 “Frienship” while Agung maked about “ Cleanliness”.Then we studied an exercised together two days at school. On Sunday we studied at home.

            On Monday, at 7 a.m Mr. Indarso picked up me go to SMPN 1 Ponorogo by motorcycle. While Agung with Mr. Dirdoyo. I have been feelling pounding heart since one hour in the trip. We arrived at SMPN 1 Ponorogo at 8 a.m. We went to the place for registrasion. Functionary of registration gave me number of participant. I got  number 61, while Agung got number 24. Then we walked in to the room of Competition Story Telling. Before the Competition will be start, there were two event ; opening ceremony and explained about technical of competition.

            At 9 a.m the competiton started. The MC called one by one the participant for went to in front of three juries and telled their story. The MC called number 24 Agund Dwi wahyudi. He went to infront of juries and started his story. At the middle story he forgot his story. Finally, He told story which he remembered. Agung finished and came back to our desk. My heart more pounded. Then the participant went one by one to in front of juries until number 35. Then the MC gave announcement. He said that the competition for this day enough and for number 36-62 will be competition tomorrow. After heard that we went go home. Mr. Indarso gave me a message to me for prepare the best for tomorrow.

            Arrived at home I took anap. At the night I studied and exercise the story telling. And prepare the best for tomorrow. After that, I took a rest.

            At the morning, 8 a.m Mr. Indarso picked up me again and went to SMPN 1 Ponorogo for Competition. We arrived in the place at 8 a.m . We waited the MC call me. At 1 p.m the MC called me. Heard that I prayed and stood up. Mr. Indarso gave me spirit and said “ Believe, you can do it, Don’t think get how number, but think and do the best” Then, I went infront of juries. I gave greeting to juries and audiences. Then I started my Story about “ Friendship”. I finished my story fluently. After that, the firt jury gave me question “ Have you a true friend? Then, I answered “ Yes, I have “ He said “ Thank you” I answered “ you are welcome”. After that, the second jury gave me question “ What the title your story telling? And give me a simple explain about content your story ! I answered “The title of my story is “ Friendship” the content of the story  about a friendship and how about a true friend”. The jury said “ Ok. Good” I answered “ Thank you Moom” She said “ You are welcome “. Then the last jury gave me a question, He said “ Hi” I answered “ Hi, Sir” He said again “ I will give you one question, please hear well, Ok” I answered “ Yes, Sir” He asked “ In your opinion, possible or impossible a true friend in your life!” Heard that I confiused, I didn’t know the mean of word “ possible or impossible”. My vocabulary not yet too many. I couldn’t answer his question. And I  said to him “ I’m sorry Sir, I couldn’t answer your question” The jury smiled to me and said “ Ok. No problem , don’t afraid and please increase your vocabulary Ok!” I said “ Yes, Sir I will plus my vocabulary, and thank you” He said “ Yes, you are welcome”. Then, I came back to my desk. Mr. Indarso gave me spirit, “ You did the best” and gave me explain “ The mean of word possible and impossible, possible=mungkin. Impossible= tidak mungkin” I felt sad, if I knew the mean,I could answer the question. After that we went home, because the yield of competition will be announced by committee at tomorrow by letter to school each.

            On Wednesday at the school we received a letter about yield of competition of story telling. We looked, my name at the twenty-fourth from 62 participant. While Agung in order thirty-fifth. Mr. Indarso gave spirit to us “ You did the best, no number 1 no problem, and try again at the next competition” I and Agung said “ Yes Sir, Thank you” Mr. Indarso “ You are my best children”. After that, we studied at class as usually.

            This is my memorable experience. Don’t think “ I will be able to how number, but I will do the best”.
